Set up Jogamesole

Set Up Jogamesole

You tried to register Jogamesole and thought you were done.

You weren’t.

That name on a piece of paper? It doesn’t open a bank account. It won’t sign a contract.

It won’t scale.

I’ve watched founders celebrate their LLC filing (then) panic two weeks later when Stripe rejects their application. Or when a client asks for an EIN and they don’t know what that is.

This isn’t theory. I’ve guided over 200 early-stage ventures through the exact same process. Every roadblock.

Every surprise. Every “why didn’t anyone tell me this?”

You don’t need philosophy. You need steps.

Real ones. That work. That get you from idea to legally recognized, operationally ready.

No fluff. No jargon. No “it depends.”

Just the sequence that moves you forward. Without backtracking.

You’re not building a brand in a vacuum. You’re building something that has to function today.

So let’s fix the gap between “I have a name” and “I can actually run this.”

That starts with knowing what Jogamesole really demands. Not just legally, but operationally and strategically.

Set up Jogamesole the right way. Not the fast way. Not the half-way way.

The way that sticks.

Step 1: Trademark First, Logo Second

I check trademarks before I even open a design app.

You should too.

Buy a domain or hire a designer before clearing the name? That’s how you lose $2,000 in rebrands. (Yes, I’ve done it.

No, I won’t tell you which one.)

Start with the USPTO TESS database (free,) official, and brutal about rejecting “Jogamesole” if someone already filed for “JogaMole” in Class 28 (toys/games). Then cross-check WIPO’s Global Brand Database. Some brands skip the USPTO but file internationally first.

State-level checks matter too. A DBA filing in Texas doesn’t block an LLC in Florida using the same name. Corporations and LLCs get stronger protection (but) only if the name isn’t generic. “Jogamesole Fitness” might fly. “Jogamesole” alone?

Probably not. Too vague. Too soft.

Don’t assume “jogamesole.com” is available → means it’s safe. It doesn’t. Also: avoid “best,” “elite,” or “official” in your name.

Those are red flags. Unenforceable and instantly weak.

Free tools: USPTO TESS, Namechk, ICANN Lookup. Red-flag phrases: “the original,” “world’s first.”

Budget for a lawyer review if you’re serious ($300–$500) saves way more later. This guide walks through every step of how to Set up Jogamesole the right way.

Skip this step? You’re building on sand. And sand doesn’t hold trademarks.

Pick Your Legal Shape (Not) Just a Name

I started Jogamesole as a sole prop. It felt right. Until I realized I was paying self-employment tax on every dollar.

Even the part I reinvested.

So let’s cut through the noise.

An LLC gives you liability protection without the S-Corp paperwork headache. You keep full control. You own your code, your brand, your customer list.

No corporate veil games.

S-Corp makes sense only if your net income hits $60k+ per year. Why? Because then you can pay yourself a reasonable salary (say $40k), pay payroll tax on that, and take the rest as distributions.

Tax-free from self-employment tax. Below that? You’re just adding IRS filings for zero savings.

(And yes, the IRS watches S-Corp salaries closely.)

I go into much more detail on this in this page.

Don’t form in Delaware or Wyoming unless you’re raising VC or operating across 30 states. Most people think it’s “better.” It’s not. You’ll still register as a foreign entity in your home state (and) pay two annual fees.

If you’re solo and testing demand → start as a sole prop.

File a DBA so your bank accepts checks made to “Jogamesole.”

That’s all you need for now.

If you plan to hire contractors → go LLC immediately.

Your personal assets stay safe if someone sues over a bug in your software.

If you’ll seek investors in 18 months → skip S-Corp. Go C-Corp. It’s the only structure VCs will touch.

Set up Jogamesole the way your real workload demands. Not how a blog post told you to.

Step 3: Banking, Contracts, and Compliance (No) Excuses

Set up Jogamesole

I opened my first business bank account with a stack of papers I barely understood. You don’t need that stress.

Skip one, and you’re back at square one.

Here’s what banks actually demand to Set up Jogamesole: EIN confirmation letter, formation docs, your operating agreement (yes. Even if you’re solo), and proof of address. No exceptions.

You need three contracts today: client scope-of-work, contractor NDA, and a privacy policy with GDPR/CCPA triggers baked in. Not next week. Today.

Annual compliance isn’t optional. Registered agent renewal? Due every year.

State franchise tax deadlines? Miss them and pay penalties. IRS Form 5472?

Required if foreign owners are involved. I’ve seen startups get hit with $10k fines for ignoring this.

Mixing personal and business accounts is reckless. It kills liability protection. Period.

Skipping written agreements with co-founders? That’s how friendships end. And lawsuits begin.

Sales tax nexus for digital services? It’s real. And it’s not just for physical goods.

California, Texas, even South Dakota will come after you.

The Manual Jogamesole has exact filing dates, state-by-state thresholds, and fill-in-the-blank templates. Use it.

Don’t wait for an audit to learn the rules.

You’ll thank yourself later.

Or you won’t.

Step 4: Launch Your Jogamesole Identity (Beyond) the Logo

“Established” isn’t a stamp on a business license. It’s your website loading with HTTPS. It’s replying from jogamesole.com, not Gmail.

It’s one real client who paid you. Even if it was $50.

Minimal branding isn’t about looking fancy. Pick two fonts. One for headings, one for body.

Use no more than three colors. Write your brand voice in two sentences: How would you talk to a smart friend over coffee? That’s it.

Consistency beats perfection every time. Use the same font in Canva, same color in your Zoom background, same sign-off in Gmail. Skip the redesigns.

Just lock it in.

I built my first live site using Google Workspace, Carrd, and Stripe. No code. No waiting.

Went live in under four hours.

You don’t need “done right.” You need done.

Then fix it as you go.

That’s how you actually Set up Jogamesole. Fast, functional, and human.

For the exact settings you’ll tweak next, check out the Settings Jogamesole page.

Launch Your Jogamesole With Confidence (Today)

I’ve been where you are. Staring at a blank page. Wondering which step actually matters.

Uncertainty kills momentum. Not lack of time. Not lack of tools.

Just not knowing what to do first.

That’s why we built the four pillars: name validation, structure alignment, operational readiness, identity activation. No fluff. No optional steps.

You don’t need all four done today. You need Set up Jogamesole started. Right now.

Pick one section above. Open it. Work through its checklist.

Finish in under 90 minutes.

Then screenshot your progress. Save it as ‘Jogamesole Day 1’.

That file is proof you moved. Not perfect. Not finished.

But unstuck.

You don’t need permission. You need precision. And now you have the exact sequence.

Go open that first checklist.

Now.
